Emperor, this message is for you.
You are preparing to begin something.
It may be a business, an offer, a partnership, a project, or a relationship. You can already feel that movement is required, but you have not been completely certain which direction is safe.
Here is the message I received:
Aim for something small. It will lead to the prize.
This is not an instruction to reduce the vision.
It is an instruction to stop giving the entire vision to people who have not yet demonstrated that they can hold a small part of it.
You naturally move at scale. You see what something can become, commit quickly, and enter prepared to build. Because you are willing to go all in, you have expected other people to meet you there.
That expectation has cost you.
People received access to your ideas, labor, protection, creativity, strategy, and heart before they demonstrated the capacity to return anything of equal value.
The answer is not to stop building.
The answer is to change how access is earned.
The wound changed the way you build.
You were not only disappointed by what happened before.
You adapted to it.
After being drained, you moved toward the opposite extreme. You became more guarded, more transactional, and less willing to invest yourself in anything you could not immediately control.
That defense may have protected you from repeating the exact same experience.
But it also began separating you from the part of yourself that creates your greatest opportunities.
Your gift was never simply the labor.
Your gift was your ability to see what could be built, understand what another person needed, establish trust, and create the strategy that moved both sides forward.
The problem was not your generosity.
The problem was generosity without a gate.
You gave at the level of the future before the person in front of you had proven themselves in the present.
Now the lesson is not to close your heart.
It is to place a structure around it.
